“ This is more of a modern diner. What they do best is evident in their food. The ingredients are fresh and things appear to be made from scratch. The quality of their food is vastly superior to most diners. Service from the kitchen was a bit slow, even though most people in the restaurant had already been served. Prices are slightly higher than a normal diner, but the value is there in the food. The sausage links are about twice the girth of normal breakfast sausages and they are absolutely delicious. ”
“ I was headed down to Rochester and I had stopped at this diner before and liked the food! So I decided to stop in again. Food was great, service was excellent, and I would definitely recommend Nick's Diner to anybody that happens to be in Cannon Falls or headed down to Rochester or points south. My waitress's name was Darla not to be confused with Alfalfa's girlfriend LOL she was an excellent waitress! I ordered breakfast there and ordered one of their special dishes which if I remember correctly was meatloaf with basted eggs on top and the American potatoes I believe this was over an English muffin. I'm glad I made a good choice. Give this place a chance I'm sure you will like it! ”
“ This is one of those places that's so great, it's like a hidden gem. Like a great fishing hoke you want to keep to yourself, so it's not too busy when you go back. The service was good, a bit slow and he didn't really check on us to see how we were doing. Having said that, he was extremely polite and helpful. The atmosphere is great. Laid back, not over the top. Just calm, but fun. Now the best part, the food! Good Lord! It was all phenomenal! I seriously can't wait to get back. I had the High Five and was blown away. Sweet, but hearty. Filling, but not leaving you feeling like you way over did it. You've got to try this. The Sriracha meatloaf was delicious and so enjoyable. You won't regret trying this. Easily located. Plenty of street parking. And it's smack dab in scenic Cannon Falls. Just a great place! Another thing I thought was great? They're sometimes closed on holidays like Fathers day so they can spend time with their families. I love that they proud to put family first. I hope this helps. Cheers! ”
“ Not your typical small town diner. I'm in town for a competition I found this diner and was surprised by how welcoming it was despite being filled with locals. The food is outstanding for adults and children alike. Unfortunately I didn't get to try the pie, one of the locals said it's homemade and amazing. ”

“ We had a group of 5 and we waited under 10 minutes for a table. The service was prompt, friendly, and accurate. I loved the jumbo stuffed tots, my Reuben was really good, and the whole table was excited to try this spot again. Great diner atmosphere. They did close an hour early because they were on the slower side (because of the holiday weekend, perhaps) just fyi. ”

“ Nick's Downtown Diner may very well be the best restaurant for breakfast in Canon Falls! Excellent service, great menu selection! Besides the excellent breakfast choices there are many nice lunch selections to choose from on the menu (Note: Close at 2pm - no dinner service - and also closed on Tuesday's). Also, there is a very nice selection of whole pies and cakes to choose from to purchase to go too! The four of us had very nice breakfast and would definitely return!! ”
